What are the things that plants need to grow?ANSWERPlants need air, water and sunlight.
They provide food for humans and animals. They produce the oxygen we need to breathe. They stop soil erosion. They provide materials for our homes and clothes. They are enjoyable to look at.
It would dry up and die.
It would not grow. It would turn yellow or brown and die.
Plants need sunlight to make nutrients they need to grow. They cannot live a long time without sunlight.
No, all living things need water. Plants use water in a process called photosynthesis to make nutrients.

How does water affect plant growth?ANSWERPlants need just the right amount of water. Too much or too little will cause the plant not to grow as well. Some plants need more water than others.
Plants use sunlight to make the food they need to grow. If a plant does not have any sunlight, they will lose their color and eventually die. Some plants need more light than others.
The plant that was given too much water grew a small carrot. It got too much water.
Loam is a combination of sand, clay and other natural materials. It holds the water better than sand or clay.
The carrot with the most light grew the biggest. Some plants need more light than others.
The plant needs good soil, and the right amount of water and light to grow best.
