Write one simile or metaphor from the video. Underline the two things being compared. Then label it as “simile” or “metaphor.”

Level 2

Addie says she is a “night owl.” In 2–3 sentences, use “Spot, Think, Explain” to tell what “night owl” means in this scene. Use at least one clue from the situation to support your answer.

Level 3

Think of something about yourself (for example, how you play sports, read, draw, or talk with friends).

Write one simile and one metaphor about yourself.

For each, explain what two things are being compared and what the comparison shows about you.
