      Nope! Our videos are streamed over the internet. It works on any modern internet browser and you can stream our videos from your desktop, tablet or phone.

      The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are K–12 academic standards that set the expectations for what students should be able to do by certain grade levels. It was developed by 26 U.S. states, the National Science Teachers Association and other organizations. NGSS and adaptations of it are used in about 40 states.       Yes! We currently offer 72 topics covering Grades K-5 science. Our next series will cover science for Grades 6-8 coming in Fall 2020. After that, we will cover math for Fall 2021.

  • How long is a subscription?

      12 months from when you place your order. You will get instant access to Generation Genius after creating your account.

  • How can I pay for a subscription?

      We currently accept credit cards, debit cards and school purchase orders (POs).

  • Can I use this for homeschool?

      Yes. About 15% of our subscribers are homeschool families (most are teachers, schools and districts). Homeschoolers can purchase an individual plan to get all the same resources as teachers. When homeschool groups of 20 or more purchase together, we offer $50 off annual subscriptions. Contact us if you have a group of 20 or more.

      Yes. Dr. Jeff is based in Los Angeles and has performed at over 400 schools around the country before starting Generation Genius. Doing one school assembly out-of-state is often cost prohibitive so we suggest that schools book live shows with other schools in their area: 6 schools booking together is $1,595 per school, 4 schools is $2,000 per school and 2 schools is $3,000 per school.Yes. Dr. Jeff is based in Los Angeles and has performed at over 400 U.S. schools before starting Generation Genius. He looks forward to touring schools in Canada next year and a tour is currently being planned. The cost for a live school performance in Canada during the tour is $2,500 CAD.   • Is this curriculum or supplemental material?

      Supplemental. We cover 100% of the Next Generation Science Standards for Grades K-5, however, our goal is not to replace your textbook. We aim to increase engagement in the topics while helping students learn core concepts from the standards.

      With that being said, we do have many teachers that use Generation Genius as a curriculum when their district hasn't provided them with any resources to meet new standards or when they only have obsolete materials to work with.
      Supplemental. We cover 90% of the science standards across the Canadian provincess for Grades K-5, however, our goal is not to replace your textbook. We aim to increase engagement in the topics while helping students learn core concepts from the standards.

  • Why do I need to create a password and a PIN?

      The password is used to login. The PIN you create during checkout is used to make administrative changes to the account. This prevents students from making changes accidentally like upgrading or downgrading your subscription.

  • What is the difference between an individual and a school account?

      An individual account is for access on 1 device such as a computer, tablet or phone. That is ideal for one teacher or homeschool family. A school account gives ALL teachers and ALL students access on an unlimited number of devices.

  • Do I need a credit card to try it?

      Nope! Just click the "Try it free" button on the homepage. No credit card required. Since we do not collect any payment information when you try it, there is no risk and no commitment. If you want to continue after trying it, just visit the pricing page to create a paid account.

  • Can I download all the teaching materials at once?

      Yes. We make this available to subscribers on the manage account page (click on the gear icon, top right corner). You can access this page after subscribing.

  • Do you send us supplies?

      We don't because you already have most of them. Our activities were designed to be done with common materials like paper, bottles, soap, baking soda, water, etc. 9 out of 10 materials are like this. There are a few that can be found at a grocery, hardware or pet store for a few dollars. The DIY activities are optional so it is best to see which ones your kids want to do first.

      Not recommended in most cases. Our K-5 content is made with the appropriate depth for that age group. We are making separate lessons for grades 6-8 for a Fall 2020 release. With that said, we do have middle school teachers that use Generation Genius for foundational review or for special needs.Not recommended in most cases.   • Is it available in Spanish?

      100% of our videos have subtitles in Spanish. Simply click the "CC" button on the video player bar and select Spanish. Currently all written materials are in English.

  • Can I get a discount if I sign up for multiple years?

      Yes! Multi-year school discounts are shown during checkout. Further discounts are also available for school districts. Contact us for a custom district quote.
