  • Do I need to install any software to use Generation Genius?

      Nope! Our videos are streamed over the internet. If you can watch YouTube videos then you will be able to watch Generation Genius videos! You can view them from your desktop, tablet & phone.

  • What are the Next Generation Science Standards?

      The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are K–12 academic standards that set the expectations for what students should be able to do by certain grade levels. It was developed by 26 U.S. states, the National Science Teachers Association and other organizations. NGSS is already implemented in 19 states and another 19 states have adopted very similar standards.   • Will you make videos for other grades?

      Yes! Our first series is 36 video lessons for grades 3-5. Our next series will cover science for grades K-2 coming in Sep 2019 then grades 6-8 in Sep 2020. After that, we will cover math!

  • Can Dr. Jeff perform at my school?

      Possibly! If a school district of 10 or more schools subscribes to Generation Genius, Dr. Jeff will perform at a school in your district for free (Can also do a family night). It's complimentary to help kick it off and make an unforgettable experience for students!

  • Does the free trial give me access to everything?

      Yes! No limits.

  • How long is a subscription?

      12 months from when you place your order. We also offer a monthly plan which you can cancel at any time. You will get instant access to Generation Genius after creating your account.

  • Do students and teachers use the same account?

      Yes. Teachers and students share the same account, however, only teachers can make administrative changes using the 4-digit PIN chosen when signing up.

  • How can I pay for a subscription?

      We currently accept credit cards, debit cards and purchase orders (POs).

  • Why do I need a password and a PIN?

      The password is used to login, but the PIN is needed to make administrative changes such as a new username. Your PIN is created when you signing up.

  • What if I forgot my password?

      Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen to automatically reset it. You can also contact us if you need further help ([email protected]).

  • What is the difference between an individual and a school account?

      An individual account includes full access for one classroom or household. A school account covers ALL teachers and ALL students, ALL year long.

  • Is this curriculum or supplemental material?

      Supplemental. We cover 100% of the Next Generation Science Standards, however, our goal is not to replace textbooks. We aim to spark interest and inspire students in science while helping them learn all major science topics in grades 3-5. The more engaged students are, the more motivated they are to learn.

  • Do I need a credit card to get a free trial?

      Nope! Just click the "Start My Free Trial" button on the homepage. It asks only for your name, email and to set a password. If you want to continue after the trial, then visit the subscribe page and pay by credit card, debit card or purchase order.

  • Can I download all the teaching materials at once?

      Yes. We make this available to subscribers on the manage account page (click on the gear icon, top right corner). You can access this page after you subscribe.

  • Do you send us supplies?

      Nope, you already have the supplies. Our activities were designed to be done with materials commonly found in a classroom or home. (Example: paper, bottles, Q-tip, soap, baking soda, balloon, water, staws, egg carton, etc). 97% of the materials are like this. The other 3% can be found at a grocery, hardware or pet store for a few dollars. The DIY activities are optional so its best to see which ones your kids want to do first.

  • Can I use these in middle school?

      Not recommended. We currently cover grades 3-5 topics with the appropriate depth for grades 3-5. We are making a separate videos series for grades 6-8. With that said, some scenarios where this could work in middle school would be as a review of foundational concepts for students that have fallen behind or for special needs.

  • Is it available in Spanish?

      Yes. All our videos have subtitles in Spanish. Simply click the "CC" button on the video player and select Spanish.

  • Can I get a discount if I sign up for multiple years?

      Yes! Multi-year school discounts are shown on the subscribe page. Further discounts are also available for school districts. Contact us for discount pricing!
